Wildlife & Nature

Happy Friday everyone! Hot off the heels of the discovery of first tiger quoll in the Otways yesterday, we thought you might like to see most miniature, amazing marsupial ever… introducing the eastern pygmy possum.

Eastern pygmy possum in Victoria Australia

Will you spot an eastern pygmy possum in Victoria?

This pint-sized possum weighs between 15-45g (lighter than a tim tam!), is nocturnal and an active climber.  We also think they’re very, very cute. Have you seen one?

We found three of them sleeping inside an outdoor light fitting at Johanna in November last year. Left them alone but they were gone after a few days. Tiny things, very cute.
